Back in 2019, Sophia and Dan had reached out for me to do their engagement photos down in Little Corona in Newport. Funnily enough, the session was actually just two days after my (now) husband proposed to me in the exact same spot! Seeing them make such sweet memories in a spot near to my heart was so surreal. Now, fast forward to late summer of 2020… they reached out to me again for a Newport Beach couples session. Sophia and Dan were going to move to the Midwest and thought this would be the perfect way to commemorate their life and time together in California. Their time in California was so near and dear to their hearts as they had met at Biola University where they were on the same swim team — and fell in love. The rest is history. Getting to capture these images that would someday probably hang on their walls for them to look at everyday still warms my heart to this day. For their “bon voyage session”, we shot in the morning on the most perfect day. It was warm and sunny, and it felt like we were the only ones on the beach (which is probably a good thing since I most definitely fell down once and had to keep dodging some waves…) All in all, I will always feel so honored that Sophia and Dan wanted to have their love and memories captured by me. And now? These two are expecting a little baby soon! I am just so dang excited for them!
