Team
To work with more amazing couples on their wedding day, I have a team of full-time wedding photographers who also work under the SYP brand.
On top of being talented and fun to be around, each of my associates are trained directly by me so that they produce images that are nearly identical mine. They know all the little details I like to incorporate when I’m at a wedding, including how to make the most of golden hour and how to make an uncomfortable groom feel like himself. They will be the one at your engagement session so they can get to know you and serve you well. And, of course, I will personally edit all the photos in my Sarah Yates Photo style—not overly edited so we can show off the natural love between you and your love.
So, if you want your wedding booked on a popular weekend when I’m already booked, you can have your (wedding) cake and eat it, too!

One of the greatest gifts in her business is leading a team of associates and interns. Sarah’s favorite moment at every wedding is when the recessional happens, and everyone is in full party mode. All the nerves are gone and it’s just pure joy. Her favorite dance floor song? 2000s rap playlist. (Surprised?!)

Jayden started out as Sarah’s mentee and is now one of her go-to associates! Her favorite part of every wedding is when it’s time for the couple to read their vows. She gets the chills EVERY. TIME. It’s the moment everyone, Jayden included, is reminded why they’re celebrating in the first place. Her favorite first dance song? “Love Like This” by Ben Rector.

Laura slid into Sarah's DMs and let her know how she could add to the SYP experience for my brides. She was right! Laura’s favorite moment at any wedding is the father/daughter dance! It always gets her teared up (she may or may not have teared up writing about it!). Her favorite dance floor song? “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Daryl Hall & John Oates.

Tessa has been a full-time wedding photographer in Orange County for a few years and she is excited to join the SYP team! She is absolutely the most creative and her work is truly art. She loves taking sunset photos and giving the couple time to breathe and relax on the wedding day. You can count on Tessa to calm you down and hype you up!

Your team member will be taking your engagement photographs. I will be there every step of the way in planning your engagement session — helping with location, outfit ides, etc. Your team member will meet you at your engagement location, get to know you guys, photograph you, and then send me the RAW images so I can edit them for you :)
WHO TAKES MY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHS?
Another great question! Both your engagement and wedding images will be sent to me from your team member so that the images will go through my editing process. I will be editing your images and I will also deliver them to you once they are completed.
WHO EDITS MY IMAGES FROM MY ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING?
Nope! My teammates and I are all on the same level—I wouldn't want you to have any less of an experience with a team member than you'd have with me. That's why there's no discount! Getting an SYP Team Member is the same quality as getting me as your lead wedding photographer. I don't want to cheapen your SYP experience. No matter who the lead photographer is, we all will give you the same attention, skill, and passion.
