I absolutely looove when someone reaches out to me to shoot a surprise proposal. Paige and Justin’s proposal was so much fun to be apart of. Justin chose to propose at The Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, California. I had actually never been there before so I was so excited to explore. Justin chose to use the Marilyn Monroe suite (where a bunch of celebrities have stayed before) and propose out on the balcony… This meant I had to hide in the bathroom to capture the moment! It was so much fun to hide, and get Paige’s authentic reaction.
After she said “YES!”, we took some more photos around the hotel. As we were wrapping things up before heading to a sweet dinner Justin had planned with all of their friends and family, one of the hotel managers pulled us a side to ask if we wanted to go up to the ROOFTOP. So obviously we were like, “umm, yes please!” The sweet manager brought us up to the roof where there was this massive marque sign that said “Roosevelt Hotel”. Full disclosure, the lighting was a huge challenge for me; if I used my flash, the photos would’ve been way too bright. I utilized the natural light from the sign and captured the coolest, most artistic photos that I have ever taken.
